About Bareboat Chartering
Per the United States Coast Guard (USCG), a bareboat charter is an agreement where the Charterer (client) has use of a vessel for a specific period of time and is temporarily considered the owner.
The Charterer is responsible for the vessel, their guests, and providing their own food & beverage. A bareboat chartered vessel is limited to a maximum of 12 passengers.
A bareboat charter is where the Charterer (client) has use of a vessel for a period of time.
- The charterer is allowed a max capacity of 10-12 passengers and you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks.
- The itinerary is completely your choice on the day of the charter! Just tell your captain your aquatic fantasy and we'll try our best to fulfill your desires.
Most common itineraries include:
- Visiting the picturesque Chicago River
- Exploring the renowned "Playpen"
- Venturing to any captivating destination along Lake Michigan within a 10-nautical mile radius from your departure or docking point.
Please note: During the bustling summer days, accessing the river and/or playpen may take more than an hour due to high traffic, so please plan accordingly!
